How the Calls Work

Basics and some Frequently Asked Questions

Basics
You will be emailed the call codes a few days prior to the class you registered for. Please be sure to read all the instructions carefully.

These classes are intended to take you on an internal journey and allow you to reflect and receive spiritual guidance.
We suggest you tune in, and refrain from attempts to multi-task during your time.

To reduce or eliminate background noise, you can mute your phone using the star 6 command (* 6); that way you can hear us, but we can't hear you, your dog or any other distractions!

To speak or ask questions, just unmute by pressing the pound 6 command (# 6).

Plan to call from a quiet location. Before you call in, breathe, get still and ask yourself “what is my intention for this call?”

FAQs
What if I miss my class?
Some classes offer playbacks for a limited time. Want to know if yours is being recorded? Check the descriptions before you register. If a class is recorded, you will automatically receive an email with the playback information and you’ll have ample time to listen. teleclass@hoffmaninstitute.org

Isn’t there unlimited space?
No, we intentionally limit the spaces on each call so everyone has an optimal experience.

Can I register late?
There is a lag time from when you register online to when you are emailed the call codes, so please take this into account and register by the day before a scheduled class.

If you record the calls, aren’t there CDs?
No, we do not have CDs of our calls at this time. (If you would like to fund a new CD program, please feel free to talk to us!)

Specific issues are coming up in my life right now – will these classes work for me?
Most one-time teleclasses are generally topic driven and they are with large groups of graduates. If you are interested in the topic, and feel it would be supportive to hear a teacher, be with other grads, and do some tools work, then sign up!  If you prefer something more flowing in nature, with more sharing on the call and fewer participants, try a multi-session support series instead.

Life is pretty intense for me right now, will these classes help resolve my crisis?
For pressing needs or specific issues that are highly charged for you, we suggest you do private coaching with a teacher or a residential course like the Q2.

What’s the best phone to use?
If you can, use a corded or high quality digital cordless telephone for optimal quality! If you can’t do that, any telephone should work fine. Cells are okay, too, but be sure to have a strong signal so you are not accidentally “dropped” from the call because we will not be able to get you back on the line.

Can I call from my car?
Only if you are parked and stationary for the entire call.

What about Skype?
Please refrain from using Skype or broadband connections. Unfortunately, they cause disruption for everyone during the guided visualizations.

What happens if I take precautions but I’m still dropped from the call?
Contact us at teleclass@hoffmaninstitute.org to request access to the recording. We’ll do our best to get that to you within 2 business days.

May I use a headset or speakerphone?
Headsets, yes! Speakerphones, no. (they cause feedback for everyone on the call).
