What is a mandala?

A mandala is an artistic creation made within a circle. Used in many spiritual traditions, mandalas often represent the universe within – a means of visually expressing what’s happening for you internally.

“A mandala is a symbol of the universe in its ideal form, and its creation signifies the transformation of a universe of suffering into one of joy.” – Source

“A mandala generally represents the spiritual journey, starting from outside to the inner core, through layers.” – Source
