Alison, who also goes by Ali, joins the Hoffman faculty with over 20 years of experience in the medical and mental health fields. She began her career by earning her Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont and worked as a Registered Nurse before earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College, where she graduated with high honors and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society, as a nurse practitioner with board certification in psychiatry.
Driven by a deep commitment to holistic and person-centered care, Ali has pursued advanced training in functional and integrative psychiatry, and she has completed specialty psychotherapy training with the Internal Family Systems (IFS) Institute. Her practice historically has blended evidence-based medicine with intuitive healing, embracing a compassionate, whole-person approach to mental health that honors each individual’s humanity and authenticity.
Ali’s professional vision seeks to shift the medical model from one of “fixing” diagnoses to one of truly being with people – seeing them and supporting them as they are. Her own transformative journey, including completing the Hoffman Process in 2021, deeply shaped this philosophy.
“I remember a moment where I was standing outside, overlooking the hills of Northern California. In that very moment I felt the concrete around my heart break open and light, love, and a deep sense of knowing rush in. The Process cleared out the shame and the noise, reconnected me to my true self, and sent me off with a blueprint for living and being.”
This pivotal experience allowed her to reconnect with her true self, release past shame, and step fully into her purpose of empowerment and healing. She now teaches with the Hoffman Institute, where she feels honored to support others in rediscovering their own truth and vitality.
As a New England native, Ali is driven by a love of exploration and holds a deep appreciation for nature and travel. She finds joy in spending time outdoors with her dog, nurtures a life-long passion for music, and expresses her creativity through hands-on interior design projects. Committed to fostering safe, inclusive, and empowered communities, Ali enjoys working with Prevention Action Change, an organization dedicated to offering empowerment programs, active bystander intervention training, and self-defense classes.
