The Relationship Intensive

A 2-day, in-person graduate course (with an optional extra half-day) with a teacher; offered only to Hoffman Process graduates

The Hoffman Relationship Intensive is a two day, in-person graduate program and can include an optional extra half day. It is designed for any two Process graduates who want individual, one-on-one support to resolve conflict and come into authentic alignment around a shared vision toward the future. Working with a coach, you will use Hoffman tools to identify any conflicts and resentments, be heard about them, find compassion for yourself and the other, and cultivate skills, practices, and a vision for moving forward.

This program is suitable for a collegiate relationship; siblings; parent and adult child; or a couple moving into a committed relationship, striving to maintain and deepen an existing relationship, or looking to find a way to separate with love and dignity. You have the option of bringing the coach to your location, traveling to the coach, or meeting at an agreed-upon venue. Following the Intensive, you will each have a follow-up coaching call, with the option to arrange ongoing coaching together.

What to Expect

Day 1: Each person has a 90- to 120-minute individual session with the coach. You and your partner will be given an assignment, which takes 1–2 hours to complete that afternoon and evening. The assignment involves bashing, dialoguing, and recycling new patterns you have identified.

Day 2: Begins at 9:00 a.m. with a 3- to 4-hour session. After a lunch break, there is an afternoon session, which varies in length. It may end as early as 5:00 p.m. or extend to 6:00 p.m. or later, depending on your needs.

Day 3 (optional): Begins at 9:00 a.m. for a 2- to 3-hour session, during which you will reflect on and extend learning from the previous two days and look to the future. This option is highly recommended for all couples who are facing serious challenges in their relationship.

Post-Intensive Coaching Sessions: Two 45-minute sessions (one per participant) are included. These will be scheduled at the end of the Intensive, generally to take place within one month after completion of the Intensive.

Location: The Hoffman Relationship Intensive occurs in person either at the location of the coach or at a location near your home. If the coach needs to travel, there is an additional fee of $500 USD per travel day, plus travel, meal, and accommodation costs for the coach.

Tuition: The basic tuition for days 1 & 2 of the Relationship Intensive is $2,950 USD. If the sessions extend beyond a total of 12 hours on days 1 & 2, there is an additional charge of $250 USD per hour. These fees are payable to the Hoffman Institute by check or credit card at the time of the Relationship Intensive sessions. A $500 USD non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due when you schedule, and the balance of $2,450 USD is due 10 days prior to the start of the Relationship Intensive.
