Transformation n. – The process of renewing, changing; changing the condition, nature, or function of one’s inner nature or external form; a marked change, as in appearance or character, usually for the better.

The Cycle of Transformation is at the heart of the Process, and is a big part of creating a better life. But how does it happen? What makes the Cycle of Transformation work? These questions and more are at the core of the Q², Hoffman’s graduate course that guides participants how to be in the present.

We’ve given a lot of thought lately to the Q², and what is meaningful in graduates’ ongoing work post-Process. The Process introduces us to a whole new way of looking at our lives, helps us to resolve our relationships with our parents, and moves us into the present moment. In the Q², we meet you in your adult life – we’re calling it Q²: Beyond Mom & Dad. The Q² is all about your life today, looking at and transforming the challenges that hold you back from what you want in life now.

According to Devi Cavitt Razo, Hoffman’s Vice President and Process Director, “The Q²: Beyond Mom & Dad is about fully coming to life where we are, here and now. We look at everything in terms of being fully alive and living our vision, right now. And, of course, that means taking a good look at the antics of our Dark Side.”

The Q²: Beyond Mom & Dad is also an opportunity to discover and regain aliveness. By exploring and resolving dark side messages, we are able to understand and embrace the power of loving awareness. It comes down to the difference between “Awareness Hell” (‘there’s something wrong with me and I need to fix it,’ or, ‘I give up’) and “Mindful Awareness” (‘I have patterns, I’m human, I’m empowered, these patterns won’t run my life!’).

When we make a choice to use our tools, be mindful and – importantly – love ourselves, transformation happens. We change and are renewed. It is a cycle of life.
